Privacy policy
Activity files say where you were and when. We treat them accordingly.
What we collect
Your email address, so we can send you your first look and talk to you about your order. Your name and delivery address, which you give to Shopify at checkout and which we pass to the printer. The activity files or Strava links you send, and the choices you make about your print. Basic page analytics that do not identify you.
Saved designs and our emails
If you save a design on the create page, we keep your email address and the choices you made, so you can come back to it from your link. Saved designs are deleted after twelve months. We only send you emails about new sports, colourways and offers, or a reminder about a design you saved, if you tick the box to say yes. Every one of those emails has a link to unsubscribe, and you can also just reply and ask.
What we do with your files
We use them only to draw your print. They are never shown to anyone else, never sold, and never used to advertise to you. The printer never receives them: it receives only the finished artwork, your name and your delivery address.
How long we keep them
Files uploaded for an order that is never completed are deleted after seven days. Files for a real order are kept for twelve months, so we can reprint if something goes wrong or add next season to your map, and then deleted. Ask us at any time and we will delete them sooner.
Strava links
If you send a Strava link we open it in a browser and export the activity, the same as you could. We only ever see what the activity's own privacy setting shows us. If you hide your start and finish, they stay hidden from us, and that part of the route will be missing from the print.
Who else is involved
Shopify handles the checkout and your payment, and we never see your card details. Gelato prints and ships your order. Cloudflare hosts this site and stores your files and saved designs. Each of them sees only what it needs.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@custommapprint.com and we will do it within a week.
