About Custom Map Print

Seven days, thirty-eight runs and a phone full of lines that only ever lived in an app. That week deserved a wall.

Every print starts with open map data. OpenStreetMap gives us the pistes, roads, paths, peaks, coastlines and villages, and open elevation data gives us the shape of the ground. We never trace a resort's painted trail map. Those belong to the artists who painted them.

Then your file goes on top. Slopes, Strava, Garmin, Komoot, a watch or a bike computer, drawn exactly as it recorded your day. A ski print matches each descent to the runs it followed, a race print gets its medal, and a swim is drawn on a chart of the water, so the map reads the way you'd tell it.

Then someone looks at it. GPS gets things wrong in ways software doesn't notice: a lift ride that looks like a descent, the drive home stuck on the end of a ride, a swim that wanders up the beach, a watch that thinks the mountain is below sea level. That check is why this costs more than a poster printed a thousand at a time.

It's printed on 250 gsm archival matte, close to where you live, framed if you like, and sent straight to you.
