The Manchester Marathon route, part by part
- The startTrafford Arch by Old Trafford, with more than 42,000 runners expected in 2026.
- Out through Stretford and SaleSouth-west out of the city on long, straight roads. Settle in early; there's a lot of this.
- AltrinchamThe far end of the course, and with Sale the loudest part of it: the organiser puts its music and biggest community crowds here.
- Back through ChorltonHeading home towards the city through Chorlton, where the long straights start to feel longer.
- The finishInto the city and along Oxford Road to the finish outside the University of Manchester.
