How Cervinia fits together

Breuil-Cervinia sits at the foot of the Italian side of the Matterhorn, which Italians call Monte Cervino. Above it the lifts climb to the Plateau Rosa glacier on the Swiss border.

From there the runs are long and wide, some of the longest in the Alps, down to Cervinia and on to Valtournenche. Or over the border to Zermatt. In the open map data the two are one ski area, so the figures here cover both.

Good questions

How many runs does Cervinia have?

OpenStreetMap has 230 named runs and 63 lifts at Cervinia. The resort counts its runs its own way, so its number may differ.

How high does Cervinia go?

The highest mapped run starts at about 3,872 m (12,703 ft), and the lowest ends at about 1,559 m (5,115 ft).

Is this the official trail map?

No. Ours is drawn from OpenStreetMap, the open map anyone can edit. For lift status and grooming, use the resort's own map on the day.

Can I get a print of my own days at Cervinia?
