How Zermatt fits together
Zermatt's four areas, Sunnegga-Rothorn, Gornergrat, Schwarzsee and the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, all sit under the Matterhorn. From the glacier you can ski over the border into Italy, to Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche.
It's one of the highest ski areas in the Alps, which is why the mapped runs reach almost 3,900 m.
